Update to NHS services
Due to our limited capacity we are currently limiting NHS examinations to adults that had their last examination with ourselves no later than March 2018, and to children. If you are an adult who is new to the practice or whose last examination was prior to March 2018, you can either contact us to arrange a private examination or wait until our capacity increases.
Treatments that sprays air/water (aerosol generating procedures ‘AGP’s’), such as the use of high-speed drills or ultrasonic scalers require additional levels of personal protective equipment (level 3 PPE) and for us to seal the room for up to 1 hour following treatment (fallow time). This allows the air to fully dissipate, after which we perform a deep clean and disinfection of the surgery. Due to this, where possible, we are avoiding these procedures. To read what other measures we are taking to keep you safe, please Click Here.
Therefore following examination, if a scale is required, this will be completed with hand scalers. If treatment such as fillings or deep cleaning is required, we will do this without the use of high-speed drills and ultrasonic scalers where possible. If an AGP procedure is required, this can be arranged, however we cannot guarantee the availability of such as we must prioritise our emergency appointments and is also dependent on the availability of Level 3 PPE.
